ServicesSuper-Midsize Jet Charter
Super-Midsize Jet Charter in Columbus
When a larger group has a long way to go, a super-midsize jet gives you a cabin you can stand in and the range to fly to either coast nonstop. We check the operator, the pilots and the aircraft before you ever see a quote.

What a super-midsize jet is, and when it makes sense
This class sits between midsize jet charter and heavy jet charter. Common models include the Challenger 350, the Gulfstream G280, the Praetor 600 and the Citation Longitude. Most seat eight to nine passengers, have a cabin close to six feet tall and a flat floor, and fly well past 3,000 miles without a fuel stop.
It is the right call when you are going far and want to arrive rested. Indianapolis to Los Angeles, Columbus to Seattle, or a Midwest office to a client in the Northeast and back the same day. Fewer fuel stops means fewer takeoffs and landings, and every one you skip is one less thing that can go sideways.
We start with safety and work back to price. If a smaller aircraft does your trip just as safely for less, we will tell you.
Included on each super-midsize flight we arrange
Checks on the operator and pilots
We verify the operator's FAA Part 135 certificate and go over its safety record before booking. Jets in this class fly with two pilots, and we ask how many hours each has in that model.
Load and runway planning
Passengers, luggage and fuel are matched to the jet and to the runways at each end. A full cabin on a hot summer day takes more runway, so we account for it before you book.
One all-inclusive price
The total we quote already counts fuel, crew, landing fees and FBO fees. No hidden costs turn up on a later bill.
Pay one way for a one-way trip
With point to point pricing, you pay for the leg you take. If you are flying out to stay, round trip pricing never applies.
Cabin needs covered
Need to work during the flight? We book WiFi equipped aircraft. Pets are allowed, and the operator hears about them in advance so the crew is prepared.

When a super-midsize jet is the better fit
- More than three hours in the air
- A midsize cabin can feel cramped on a long leg. Room to stand and a real galley make five hours aloft much easier for the group.
- A party of seven to nine
- Light and midsize jets hit their seat limit sooner. This class fits the whole group without anyone sitting knee to knee.
- No fuel stop wanted
- Crossing the country nonstop is what these jets do best. Westbound winter headwinds can push a smaller jet into a stop.
- Plenty of bags
- Ski gear, golf clubs, sample cases or a family's week of clothing. The hold is larger, and part of it is reachable during the flight.
- A meeting that is set in stone
- If arriving late could cost you the deal, the added range and speed leave room for weather and route changes.
Steps to booking a super-midsize charter
- 1
Give us a call
Share the destination, the timing, the passenger count and what is coming along. Someone picks up at any hour, so changing plans late at night is no problem.
- 2
We screen the jet and pilots
Options come only from operators we have already checked. We then review each aircraft's age, its maintenance status and the pilots' experience. If we would not fly our own family on it, it is dropped.
- 3
Your quote in writing
The all-inclusive quote names the aircraft and shows the route, the times and the total, so you can choose with everything laid out.
- 4
Flight day
Head to the FBO instead of the main terminal. The crew stows your bags and gives a safety briefing, and you take off when you planned to.
What sets the cost of a long-range charter
Hours in the air drive the biggest share of the number. A handful of other things nudge it higher or lower. We go through each of them with you on the call, so the total makes sense before you book.
- Flight time
- Longer distance means more fuel and more crew hours. Headwinds can add time on westbound legs, especially in winter.
- Where the jet starts
- If the closest suitable aircraft is a few states away, it has to fly to you first. We look for aircraft nearby to keep that short.
- Overnights and wait time
- If the crew waits days for your return, there are hotel and crew fees. Sometimes two one-way flights cost less, and we will run both.
- Dates and demand
- Holiday weeks and big event weekends tighten supply. Booking earlier gives you more aircraft to choose from.
Common questions about super-midsize charter
- What is the passenger capacity of a super-midsize jet?
- Eight or nine passengers ride comfortably in most of them, and some layouts add a couple of seats. Luggage counts too: a full cabin with heavy bags can cut into fuel, so we check the numbers before confirming.
- Can we reach the West Coast from Indiana nonstop?
- In most cases, yes. Range is the top reason travelers choose this class. When headwinds are strong, we go over the fuel plan with the operator, and if stopping is safer, you hear it before takeoff.
- How do you judge whether an operator is safe?
- We verify the FAA Part 135 certificate, go through the operator's safety history and ask about pilot training and hours in that model. We review the actual aircraft as well, not only the company. If anything falls short, we look elsewhere.
- Can our pet come on board?
- Yes. The aircraft we book allow pets. Let us know the type of animal, its approximate size and whether it rides on a seat or in a carrier. We share that with the crew so the cabin is set up on flight day.
- Is WiFi available in the air?
- We can book aircraft with WiFi. If you need it for calls or video, mention it and we will check the system on the exact jet you are flying.
- Is there anything I have to join first?
- Nothing to join and no long term commitment. Call, get your quote and book just the flight you need.
