ServicesLight Jet Charter
Light Jet Charter in Columbus
For a small group flying two to three hours, a light jet is a good size. We pair you with a vetted operator and crew, review the aircraft before booking, and quote one all-inclusive price that never uses round trip pricing.

Where a light jet earns its place
A light jet seats roughly four to seven people. The Citation CJ3 and Phenom 300 are two you will see often. They climb higher and move faster than a turboprop, and they run cheaper than a midsize jet, which suits a same-day client visit or a family weekend a few states over.
The tradeoffs are real. Cabins are close, most will not let you stand fully upright, and bag room is limited. A few models offer only a small belted lav. For a larger group, a coast-to-coast trip or space to move around while working, we will say so and steer you toward midsize jet charter.
Safety is our first check. We book only operators flying under the FAA charter rules, and we review the crew and aircraft assigned to your flight. You hear honestly which jet suits the trip, not the largest one we could sell.
Everything we take care of on a light jet flight
Vetting the operator and pilots
We make sure the operator holds FAA charter approval and go through its safety history. We also ask how much time the pilots have in that exact jet. When anything raises a doubt, we switch to a different operator.
A jet that suits the route
We compare the jet's range with your route, look at runway length where you leave and land, and add up the weight of people and luggage. We never offer a light jet that would fly overloaded or without enough fuel.
A single all-inclusive price
Your number already covers fuel, the crew, landing and FBO fees, and taxes. You pay for the leg you take. A one-way trip costs one way, and the flight back to the jet's home base is never charged to you as a round trip.
Pets and Wi-Fi in the air
Bring your dog or cat into the cabin. If you want to keep up with email or join a video call on the way, we search for a jet that has wifi. Tell us about both on your first call so the right aircraft gets booked.
Arrangements with the FBO
We line up the departure time, parking and arrival plans with the FBO. You arrive, say hello to the crew and step aboard, with no long security wait.
Signs a light jet is the right call
Four to seven passengers
Small groups fill a light jet well. Fewer than that, and a turboprop charter may cost less for short hops.
Trips of about two to three hours
That covers much of the eastern half of the country nonstop. Longer flights may need a fuel stop, and we will flag that up front.
A tight schedule
You need to be there in the morning and home the same night. Flying on demand from a nearby airport cuts out connections and long drives to a hub.
Light packing
Carry-on bags and a couple of soft duffels fit fine. Several golf bags or big hard-shell cases may not, so ask us before you pack.
A flight at short notice
Plans change. We answer around the clock and can often find a light jet and crew quickly, but we still run the same safety checks.
How your flight comes together
- 1
Talk it through by phone
Tell us the date, route, number of passengers, bags and any pets. We ask about timing and whether you need wifi.
- 2
We check and quote
We pick the aircraft and operator, verify the crew and records, and give you an all-inclusive quote. If a different jet size fits better, we say so.
- 3
Confirm and get details
Once you confirm, we send the departure time, FBO details and crew info. Bring a photo ID for every adult passenger.
- 4
Flight day
Arrive about 15 to 20 minutes early. The crew runs a safety briefing, loads your bags and you're off. We stay reachable in case anything changes.
What moves the price of a light jet flight
There is no set package here. We price your actual trip, point to point, with every fee rolled into one total. These are the things that change it most.
- Time in the air
- Most of the price comes from flight hours. A longer path or a season of headwinds stretches that time.
- The jet's home base
- When the closest fitting jet must fly over to collect you, that positioning time may appear on the quote. We try to find one that is already nearby.
- Waiting and overnight stays
- Crew lodging and fees apply when the crew waits or stays overnight. Coming back the same day often costs less than booking two one-way legs.
- Time of year and demand
- Fewer jets are free on holiday weekends and during big events. Winter de-icing before takeoff can carry a fee, and we put it in your quote when it is needed.
Questions about light jet charter
Something not covered here? (812) 727-4387
How many passengers does a light jet hold?
Four to seven in most models. Weight and luggage tend to be the true limit rather than seat count. We check both before quoting so no one is stranded at the FBO.
What is a light jet's nonstop range?
About two to three hours, based on the model, the load and the weather. From here that gets you to Florida or the Northeast. Longer trips get a planned fuel stop, or we suggest a super-midsize jet.
Does the jet have a restroom?
Some light jets have a small enclosed lav, and others have a belted seat behind a privacy curtain. If your group cares, say so and we will book a model with the enclosed lav.
How can you tell an operator is safe?
We work only with operators flying under the FAA charter rules and review their safety history. We check the pilots' hours in that jet type and look over the aircraft's records for your flight. If it falls short, we do not book it.
Is my dog welcome?
Yes, pets fly with you. When you call, tell us the breed, about how big it is and whether more than one dog is coming. We confirm with the operator and make sure the cabin has floor room.
